- Recency weighting scopes a run to the period you are writing about.
- The excerpt is close to newsletter length already, which saves a summarisation pass.
- Canonical merging stops the same story appearing three times under different hosts.
Excerpts are returned alongside the body, which is often exactly the length a newsletter entry needs.
